Road trip through history
A lone windmill stands above the brush in the southeastern part of the Comanche National Grassland located near Springfield, Colo., Nov 21, 2010. The Comanche were nomad buffalo hunters and were constantly on the move. They cultivated little from the earth and lived in skin tipis. They have long been noted as the finest horsemen of the plains and bore a reputation for their courage. (Courtesy photo/Jeff Walston)
