307th Bomb Wing Airman recognized as Patriot

Sergeant Fischer credited Chief Foster and Ms. Kidd as his mentors and expressed they were the reason he won the award. Sergeant Fischer is also a K9 Search and Rescue Bloodhound Handler. He won out over two additional nominees from Air Force Reserve units at Barksdale AFB. The other nominees for the Reserve category were Technical Sgt. Jeffrey S. Walston, a public affairs technician with the 307th Bomb Wing and Senior Airman Kimberly Simon, a flight avionics specialist from the 917th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech.
