Barksdale welcomes Archdiocese

Col. Kevin Wolfe, commander, 307th Mission Support Group, and Bishop Michael Duca of the Shreveport Diocese take advantage of the shade provided by “FIFI” a B-29 sitting on the ramp at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., May 6, 2011. While on base, Bishop Duca, along with Bishop Neal J. Buckon, of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, visited with military clergy from Air Force Global Strike Command and the 2nd Bomb Wing. The reason for their visit to Barksdale was to celebrate Confirmation with the Holy Family Catholic Parish on base. During their time on the ramp, Bishops Buckon and Duca were able to witness several acts that were practicing for the Defenders of Liberty 2011 Air Show. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt.
