Defenders of Liberty 2011 Air Show
Replica Japanese aircraft from the Commemorative Air Force open the “Tora, Tora, Tora” performance with a wall of fire at the 2011 Defenders of Liberty Air Show at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., May 7, 2011. The CAF recreates the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor at air shows across the country as a living history lesson. “Tora, Tora, Tora” is intended as a memorial to all the soldiers on both sides who gave their lives for their countries. Both the 307th Bomb Wing and 917th Fighter Group provided static displays for the air show. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Jeff Walston)
