Air Force highlights Texas Air Shows
Mike Anderson taxis his Curtis P-40 Warhawk for take-off during the “Tora! Tora! Tora! re-enactment at the “Wings Over Tyler Air Show” at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport, in Tyler, Texas, July 3, 2011. The plane is owned by the Commemorative Air Force. Mr. Anderson has more than 4,000 total hours flying. The “Tora! Tora! Tora!” performance recreates the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. Designed as a living history lesson, “Tora! Tora! Tora!” is intended as a memorial to all the soldiers on both sides who gave their lives for their countries. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Jeff Walston)
