Barksdale Airmen compete in 2011 Global Strike Challenge

Maj. Noel Beavers, a radar navigator assigned to the 11th Bomb Squadron, performs a pre-flight check on the B-52 Stratofortress at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., July 26, 2011. Beavers is part of the 11th BS aircrew participating in the 2011 Global Strike Challenge. The competition, which is currently underway, includes bases, units and people across the country. The competition will continue through the score-posting and symposium event in November.
