Marshall High School JROTC visits Barksdale
Cadets from the Marshall High School Junior Reserve Officers' Training Program (JROTC) visited Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Nov. 18, 2011, and was given a flight line tour of a B-52H Stratofortress and an A-10 Thunderbolt II, and also toured the Jet Engine Propulsion shop and the 917th Operations Support Flight aircrew flight equipment shop. The objectives of the JROTC are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.
