Bossier City hosts bull riding competition
Hector Cardona, who hails from Saltillo, Mexico, takes a tumble during the Tuff Hedeman Louisiana Shootout at the Centurylink Center in Bossier City, La., Jan. 12, 2013. Cody Teel, of Kountze, Texas, finally won the event with a score of 90, winning a $14,000 prize. The Centurylink Center hosts numerous entertainment and sporting events throughout the year with some offering discounts to military personnel. For a young Barksdale Airman who can’t afford a car payment, a round-trip cab ride to the Centurylink Center is approximately 20 dollars for a safe and exciting night off base. It was listed as one of the Top 100 Venues for Worldwide Ticket Sales for Mid-Year 2012 by Pollstar Magazine. It was ranked 67th in the world and 34th in the United States.
