“Ain’t all bout flying”

Airman 1st Class Justin May, a hydraulics journeyman assigned to the 307th Maintenance Squadron, connects the tip of a grease gun hose to the grease fitting on the front end of a FOTAMOT, (four-seated other than aircraft means of transportation) or golf cart, in the hydraulics shop at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., March 5, 2013. When not performing maintenance on jet aircraft at Barksdale, 307 MXS personnel work on and perform “preventive” maintenance on numerous non-flying vehicles and equipment behind the scenes. These seldom publicized maintenance procedures make it possible for Air Force maintainers to keep Air Force jets in the air and on the job, protecting American interests around the world.
