917 FG prepares for inactivation
Tech. Sgt. Robert Berg, crew chief, 917th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, pulls the chocks from an A-10 Thunderbolt II at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., April 8, 2013. The A-10 was one of the first three jets scheduled to leave Barksdale for the last time. The 917th Fighter Group, is scheduled to be inactivated by the end of September 2013. The 917th FG aircraft and personnel are being reassigned to different bases and locations.
