917 FG prepares for inactivation

Pat Simon, news anchor, KSLA News 12, Shreveport, La., broadcasts live from the A-10 Thunderbolt static display in front of the 307th Bomb Wing Headquarters’ building on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., April 8, 2013. Simon’s report was about the scheduled inactivation of the 917th Fighter Group at the end of September 2013, and its impact to the Airmen affected and the impact to the local economy. The aircraft and personnel assigned to the 917th FG are being relocated to different bases and locations.
