Kevin Tomlin and his son Hunter wait for a presentation ceremony to begin at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., April 24, 2013. Hunter, who has Neurofibromatosis Type 1, also known as von Recklinghausen disease, is recovering from surgery performed to remove a tumor from his face that hindered his ability to breathe through his nose. Members of the 307th and 2nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadrons made Hunter’s dream come true by presenting him with an Air Force uniform, a tour of a B-52 Stratofortress and mementos of his visit to Barksdale.
