Colonel for a day

U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Mark Haynes, B-52 Stratofortress crew chief, 2nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, helps Honorary Colonel Hunter Tomlin with his new uniform during ceremonies in Hangar 1 at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., April 24, 2013. Hunter, who has Neurofibromatosis Type 1, also known as von Recklinghausen disease, is recovering from surgery performed to remove a tumor from his face that hindered his ability to breathe through his nose. Members of the 2nd AMXS and 307th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron made Hunter’s dream come true by presenting him with an Air Force uniform, a tour of a B-52 Stratofortress and mementos of his visit to Barksdale.
