The wait is over
Colonel Jonathan Ellis, commander of the 307th Bomb Wing, administers the “officer” oath of office to Monique Roux at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., April 25, 2013. Roux, who is a military spouse, has finally seen her dream come true. Due to her husband’s duty station changes, Roux has spent the last 10 years getting her college degree. She graduated in December 2012, and has now joined the Reserve ranks of the 307th BW. In her civilian life, Roux, is the Director of Sales & Business Development Military Relations Liaison with the Bossier Chamber of Commerce. She will be attending Officer Training School (OTS) at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., in May and return to the 307 BW as the 307th Force Support Officer at the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.
