STARBASE 2.0 celebrates pilot year
STARBASE Louisiana Executive Director Kathy Brandon and Benjamin Williamson, instructor, present a certificate to Parker Hebert during the STARBASE 2.0 Celebration at Cope Middle School in Bossier City, La., May 14, 2013. Parker is participating in STARBASE 2.0, which is an after school Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) program. STARBASE 2.0 is being piloted this year by STARBASE Louisiana and Cope Middle School. The program is designed to carry on the mission of the STARBASE 5th grade academy and keep students interested in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics during the crucial middle school years.
