U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Keyne J. Moseley, an aircraft electrical environmental systems mechanic assigned to the 307th Maintenance Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., received the 2013 Patriot Award, for the Reserve/Guard Military category, during a banquet and ceremony at the Bossier City Civic Center in Bossier City, La., Sept. 11, 2013.

Since 2004, the Bossier Chamber annually hosts this awards ceremony designed to publicly recognize outstanding patriotic military member and first responders.

"I am overwhelmed with pride to have been chosen to receive this award," Moseley said. "I never imagined that it would be me on stage. I am especially thankful to the leadership of the 307th who nominated me. It was through their guidance and motivation that I could obtain such an amazing honor."

Patriot Finalists are submitted by their respective units and the award recipients are chosen each year by members of the Bossier Chamber Board of Directors and Military Relations Committee.

"I am extremely proud to be associated with Technical Sgt. Moseley. He's an exceptional performer and an outstanding representative of the 307th Bomb Wing and the Reserve Command. His selection as the 2013 Patriot Award recipient is well-deserved recognition of his dedication, professionalism and patriotism," said Col. Jonathan Ellis, commander, 307 BW. "It's truly and honor and a privilege to work with an outstanding young Airman like Sergeant Moseley."

Moseley is the youngest of six siblings. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2006. While at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., he won the Airman of The Year Top Performer Award. He transferred to Barksdale in 2010. In 2011, he won the 307th Maintenance Squadron's Accessory Flight Technician of the Year award, and in 2012, was selected as Noncommissioned Officer of The Year for the 307th Bomb Wing

"Sergeant Moseley is the perfect person to win this award. Not only does he perform his job for us flawlessly, but he's instrumental in the execution of several key programs such as the fitness program and Unit Advisory Council," said Senior Master Sgt. Kenneth Atchison, flight chief, 307 MXS. "Keyne is pursuing a bachelor's degree while also volunteering at the Shreveport Rescue Center and Goodwill Corporation. His professionalism and positive attitude provides the perfect example of a quality non-commissioned officer, and it's great to have him as a member of our organization."

For Moseley, awards are not the goal of hard work and dedication, but the result of it.

Moseley said, "This accomplishment is a representation for not only the hard work of one individual, but the work of all of the 307th Bomb Wing family."
