Maj. Rachel Stanley took command of the 307th Logistics Readiness Squadron during a ceremony here August 4, 2024.

Stanley was previously the Director of Operations at the 707th Maintenance Squadron, 307th Maintenance Group, 307th Bomb at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.

There, she worked with the 2nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron as part of a Total Force Integrated Team by coordinating maintenance operations on 28 assigned B-52 aircraft while managing the Air Force Reserve's only nuclear-capable maintenance and munitions function in support of the 20th, 96th, and 343rd Bomb Squadrons conventional and nuclear deterrence mission.

During his speech to LRS and leadership personnel at the ceremony, Col. Jeremy Moore, 307th Mission Support Group commander, expressed confidence in Stanley's ability to lead the 307th LRS.

"When you speak with her, you know instantly how intelligent she is," Moore said. "That leadership just comes right out."

Stanley addressed the 307th LRS as commander for the first time and provided an overview of her plans for the unit.

"Developing people, generating readiness, projecting power, and developing capabilities are vital to our success as a squadron," said Stanley.

She continued with how confident she was about the future of the 307th LRS.

"I know I am joining a highly successful, mission-oriented team known for excellence and innovation," Stanley said. I'm humbled to be part of this community and to know in our future together we will be the change we need to win."
