U.S. Air Force Col. Steven Kirkpatrick, 307th Bomb Wing commander, issued updated COVID-19 guidance for all unit members in an email from Barksdale Air Force Base, La.,  May, 7, 2020.  Below is the full text of the email.

307th Bomb Wing Airmen:

We are quickly approaching the June UTA and continue to stay focused on protecting our people and families from COVID-19.  Despite the challenges, you have continued to conduct regular operations and training either here or by teleworking. Our adversaries don’t stop and we can’t either.

We plan to have an A and B June UTA at Barksdale to reduce the number of personnel here at one time; the A on 6-7 and B on 27-28. Most functions such as quarterly CC meetings, physicals, newcomers, and FSS functions will take place on the A UTA.  You need to get with your leadership to determine the best date to serve.

The 489 BG will also hold a June UTA on station at Dyess, but it will not be split.  That UTA will be held June 6-7.

Everyone is required to adhere to all CDC social distancing and mask requirements: keep a six-foot distance or wear a mask, and hold meetings only in locations where adequate spacing is available.  There will be no mass gathering (fewer than 10 people while maintaining 6 feet of distance between one another) such as CC calls, ceremonies, etc.  All gatherings such as retirements and change of commands will be held via Facebook live with limited attendance.

The June Newcomers briefings will be held in Hoban Hall on June 6.  For the quarterly CC meetings  June 6-7,  please send only the primary or a representative to attend. Wear a mask if you are unable to maintain a minimum six-foot distance between yourself and other persons. You must remain ready at all times to put on a face covering if and when the need arises or when entering any facility on Barksdale.

Even with all the trying times, you continue to show what you are made of by overcoming such great obstacles.  Thank you for being able to adapt to each challenge.  Your ability to do so sends a strong message of readiness to reassure our friends and allies…and deter our potential adversaries

The UTA bulletin is available on the 307 BW AF Portal page and the 307 BW App for June 6-7 to get scheduling information. If you need to add any relevant information please contact 307bw.pa@us.af.mil.  If you have not downloaded the Wing App yet I highly encourage you to do so. This will enable you to receive the most up-to-date information, no matter when you are. You can gain access through the AF App.
