Lodging reservations now reservists’ responsibility: No reservation, no room Published Jan. 13, 2006 Barksdale AFB, La. -- Beginning with the January unit training assembly, reservists must make, change and/ or cancel their lodging reservations thanks to the new Automated Lodging Reservation System. The new system will be used by all Wing personnel authorized lodging at Barksdale AFB on main and alternate UTAs. The system was introduced to the Mission Support Squadron during the November UTA. They will also use it for the December UTA to test it before the entire Wing can use it in January, according to Senior Master Sgt. Laraine Warren-Dawn, 917th Services Flight superintendent. “This will allow me to make sure we do not have any problems with the system,” she said. The Wing will only pay for rooms coordinated through the ALRS system. Lodging obtained directly by the member may be at the member’s expense. Cancellations must be made no later than noon Thursday before the UTA weekend. Be aware that a list of no-shows and walk-ins will be provided to the Wing and Group commanders, and any member deemed as non-compliant may be restricted from further military lodging on UTA weekends. Reservations can be made by calling (318) 456-6747. Upon entering the requested information, the system will assign members a hotel, phone number and address. Reservations are guaranteed only if a member is given a hotel location. If no rooms are available, the system will ask the member for his/her phone number, and if a room becomes available he/she will be contacted. In the case no rooms are available; squadron lodging monitors will call reservists. Problems encountered during the reservation process can be corrected by reservists calling their unit lodging monitor.
