The title of the book is "The Many Faces of Katrina." The author is Bruce "Bee-Jay" Johnson, Wing member, playwright and author. The book, co-authored with Toni Tanner Castillo, a friend and co-worker, is comprised of first-hand accounts of Katrina's wrath as told by several of its victims.

"Being a New Orleans resident, I along with thousands of others suffered a tremendous loss caused by Hurricane Katrina," Bruce said. "This book will help others to prepare for a natural disaster. It will help them realize that it can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere."

As a teacher in the New Orleans school system, Bruce said he was first inspired to write children's books in 1994 when he noticed a need for more pre-kindergarten to eighth grade reading material for boys. The book series, The "Bee Jay's Book Series" was published and is now used throughout the school district.

Bruce is currently working on a series of children's books on safety.
