707th MXS stands up
Col. Jeffrey S. Mullen, the commander of the 307th Maintenance Group, presents the 707th Maintenance Squadron guidon to Lt. Col. Dwayne W. The new Reserve squadron is a “classic association” maintenance squadron for the 2nd Bomb Wing. The 2nd BW, which is an active duty Air Force wing, owns the aircraft, while the 707th MXS supplies people to help maintain and support them. Colonel Slack is the first to command the new squadron. Presently the 707th MXS has 74 people in the unit. When it is totally manned, it will have approximately 200 personnel assigned, 71 Air Reserve Technicians (fulltime) and 129 (part-time) Reservists Traditional.
