Wildlife thrives on Barksdale
A large Nutria makes a run for the bank after spotting an alligator in a small body of water in front of the 307th Bomb Wing Headquarters building at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., June 21, 2012. The body of water, which is about 15 square yards, is currently home to an alligator, a large alligator gar fish and a family of Nutria. There are many species of animals, birds and reptiles make their homes and thrive on base. Barksdale Airmen take pride in maintaining a base that is animal friendly.
