Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command (HQ AFRC) has selected the 307th Maintenance Group at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., as best in Maintenance Effectiveness (Medium-sized Group Category). The 307 MXG will represent AFRC in January 2013, when it competes against other Major Commands for the Air Force Maintenance Effectiveness Award.

The 307 MXG excelled in categories, "Mission Accomplishment," "Effective Use of Maintenance Resources," and "Innovative Maintenance Practices." The 307 MXG also reported significant gains in safety, reductions in maintenance deviations and incidents, and process-improvements in phase inspections. Their performance in each of these areas also helped to secure the 307th Bomb Wing's outstanding Formal Training Unit graduation rate.
