345th EBS crosses Arctic Circle to conduct training with Nordic Allies
A B-1B Lancer’s afterburners glow after taking off from Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Sept. 24, 2020. The bomber, assigned to the 345th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron, was on its way to Norway to practice interoperability training with Nordic allies in support of a Bomber Task Force mission. It crossed the Arctic Circle, a region of strategic significance, to help aircrews gain familiarity with the area and ensure it remains a stable and open international environment.
