100 Years of experience lost

Technical Sgt. (Ret) Thomas Goerner receives his retirement certificate from Maj. William Magee, 917th Maintenance Squadron, commander, during one of the retirement ceremonies held in the A-10 Hangar at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., June 6, 2009. Sergeant Goerner is one of three Airmen from the 917th Wing who retired on the anniversary of the D-Day invasion of June 6, 1944. The retirements mean a loss of more than 101 years of total experience to the 917th Wing. Technical Sgt. Goerner retired after 33 years of service. Also retiring were Master Sgt.
