Philip Murphy, U.S. Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, meets with the aircrew of an B-52 Stratofortress from Barksdale Air Force Base, La., during the unveiling of the ILA 2010 Berlin International Aerospace Exhibition and Conferences Air Show June 8, 2010, at Berlin-Schoenefeld Airport. The aircrew, which encompasses both Regular Air Force and Reserve members, is a perfect example of the Air Force’s Total Force Integration mission and how Barksdale is excelling at the “one team, one fight” concept. Approximately 90 U.S. Airmen, including aircrew and support personnel from bases in Europe and the continental U.S. participated in the Berlin Air Show, one of the premier events of its type in the world. In addition to the B-52 Stratofortress from Barksdale AFB, aircraft displays such as a B-1B Lancer, C-17 Globemaster III, C-5 Galaxy, C-130J Hercules and a KC-135 Stratotanker were on hand for public viewing. The B-52 Aircrew members pictured from left to right are: Maj. Rob Bender, 11th Bomb Squadron; Capt. Jake Schwartz, 11 BS; Lt. Col. Denis Heinz, 93rd Bomb Squadron; Capt. Andrew Marshall, 343rd Bomb Squadron, and Lt. Col. Jeff Stogsdill, commander, 343 BS. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Julius Delos Reyes)
