MAJOR GARY R. JENNINGS
Maj. Gary Jennings is the commander of the 707th Maintenance Squadron, 307th Maintenance Group, 307th Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. Together with the 2nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron,as part of a Total Force Integrated team, Maj Jennings oversees all aspects of maintenance operations on 28 assigned B-52 aircraft, while managing the Air Force Reserves only nuclear capable maintenance and munitions function in support of the 20th, 96th, and 343rd Bomb Squadrons conventional and nuclear deterrence mission.
In June 2006, Maj. Jennings commissioned from Oklahoma State University. He then was assigned to Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota where he held various back shop and flight line positions in support of the B-1B enterprise. In May 2011, he transitioned to the Air Force Reserve Command and was assigned at McConnell AFB, Kansas. While there, he served as an aircraft maintenance unit officer in charge of overseeing KC-135 Stratotanker maintenance operations as well as the early stages of the KC-46 Pegasus conversion. He also completed two deployments in support of the NATO Tanker Task Force, Operation Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force Horn of Africa. Additionally, he was the 931st Maintenance Group executive officer. In 2018, Maj. Jennings deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, providing support to U.S. and United Kingdom MQ-9 Reaper, EC-130 Compass Call, C-17 Globemaster II and various other coalition aircraft.
As a civilian, Maj. Jennings is a Firefighter-II Paramedic for the Collinsville Fire Department, Collinsville, Oklahoma where he serves as a line firefighter, paramedic, fire service instructor as well as a rescue and HAZMAT technician. He also serves as needed with Creek County Emergency Medical Services in Sapulpa, Oklahoma as a line medic.
