Col. Brian A. Horton is commander of the 307th Maintenance Group, 307th Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, La. He serves as the senior Air Reserve Technician responsible for providing daily program management, direction and guidance to 625 ARTs and traditional reservists and 250 active-duty Air Force personnel dedicated to the repair, inspection and maintenance of 20, B-52 Stratofortress aircraft.
Col. Horton earned his commission in 1999 through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, Louisiana. He served on active duty for four years in the nuclear enterprise, and entered the Air Force Reserve in 2010 as a Maintenance Officer. During his military career, he has held positions as an intercontinental ballistic missile operations officer, executive officer, maintenance operations officer, aircraft maintenance squadron commander and deputy group commander. Lt. Col. Horton has deployed in support of Operations Inherent Resolve and Freedom Sentinel.
