COLONEL JAMES L. "TREY" MORRISS III

Colonel Trey Morriss is the vice commander of the 307th Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, La. As commander, he shares responsibility of ensuring the Bomb Wing maintains a state of constant readiness to provide flexible and responsive combat capability on a global scale in concert with other forces and provides B-52 combat training to include senior officer transition training.


Born and raised in Springdale, Ark., Colonel Morriss received his commission from Officer Training School, in April 1986. He then spent 12 years on active duty and joined the Air Force Reserve in 1999.
