Colonel Alan Rock is the commander of the 307th Mission Support Group, 307th Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, La.  He is in charge of more than 400 people whose mission is to provide peacetime and wartime mission readiness support of the Air Force Reserve Command.  The group organizes, trains, and equips civil engineering, security forces, mission support, logistics readiness, and communications personnel to meet gaining command tasking and augmentee requirements worldwide.

Colonel Rock enlisted in the military in 1983 and was commissioned through the Air Force Reserve Command Deserving Airman Program in 1993. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in business and finance.
